After having been a researcher in human sciences, author and editor, I became a photographer in 2006.
The photography that interests me revolves around the fascinated, astonished, ironic, humorous or tender observation of culture, behavior, history, and nature too, and undoubtedly of the existence.
I love the fantastic as Roger Caillois envisioned it: a flaw that opens onto something other than the conventional, that takes us off the rails.
However, me cannot be satisfied with the immensity of habit and homogeneity, just as we cannot live with only the prospects of misery and horror that assail us from all sides. We are beings of balance. And we need to rebalance ourselves, which is what fantasy allows, opening up pleasure, questioning, complicity, emotion, or awareness. It is this approach of rebalancing that underlies my work: doing good by infiltrating discreet ruptures, by denouncing powerful constraints, by laughing too to feel good and be able to move forward.
All areas are concerned. And in fact, my series that I develop over the long term are very different from each other.
